Homemade postcards make me feel crafty – Day 251

Some handmade postcards I did today.
I’ve been feeling rather… crafty lately. Not in a cunning sort of way, mind you. I don’t like to deal with deceit (I had enough of that at my last full-time job). Rather, this is a glue-stick-scissors-crafty feeling that comes alive like neon card stock alongside a paper cut or two.
Whether or not this is a temporary artistic adventure, I don’t know. I had gotten psyched about painting before, and drawing, even digital art. Yeah, I’m still not really using my Wacom tablet. Shame on me. Maybe my dad would use it. I should let him borrow the darn thing.
Anyhow, I tried my hand at making some postcards today. The two pictured in this post are what I ended up with so far, but my paranoia stopped me short of making anymore. I don’t know if they will even go through the mail. The overall dimensions are within bounds, but I don’t know of the address side is big enough on one of the cards. I don’t know if there can be any relief on the card stock. Argh! I will get it all sorted out at the post office tomorrow. I want to do a test run and send them to some family and friends, just to see how they arrive before I start sending them other places.
I like paper crafting a lot with my zines and now these cards and post cards. It’s a fun little hobby that goes well with writing. I keep doing what I can to breathe life back into the snail mail industry! I also keep hoping it will prompt people to want to do the same because, you know, I like getting fun little goodies in my mailbox as well. :)
Damn you and your craftiness! You’re making me want to do some of this stuff!

So did you find anything in your kids art stuff to make cards with?
I love them! Just make sure no corners can pull up. They may get a bit disheveled in the mail machines. Also, wait until you see all my crafty stuff! You’ll love the scissors, punches, etc.
Can I come over and use your crafty stuff!?
