NaNoWriMo: The Laws of the Universe Will be Simpler
NaNoWriMo Project for 2010. A little stream of consciousness, a little prose, a little inspired by true life. You can read the project right here.
Memoir Turned Fiction
The main project I’m working on right now is a memoir about healing delusions, voices and personae in my past. This is on what my zine series Delusion is loosely based. Shuffled between family and friends as I write the roughs of each chapter, this memoir first started as little pieces of confession about my life in high school and college. Upon completion I will be working to convert this memoir into fiction. Why, you ask? While I trust my memory (for the most part) and have journals to help me along the way, I don’t wish to have this turn into another A Million Little Pieces debacle. The line you tread between memoir and fiction is very, very fine. I’m afraid of stepping over it.
Pieces #5: Apartment Life
I’ve had some pretty wacky things happen to me while living in this apartment complex over the past four years. Stories include having my mail stolen, parties with my Mexican neighbors, the police knocking on my door at 7 in the morning, a Christmas miracle of goodwill, and more.
Delusion #3
The prose for my quasi-fiction zine (which is loosely based on events written in my memoir project) is in the rough draft stage. It needs to editing and illustrations need to get started. This is still not complete only because I’m procrastinating with the art.
Always Chasing The Child
Totally scrapping this project and starting over.
