Zines and things – Day 202
August 29th, 2010
Much writing and editing this week has led me to the release of my sixth zine, the fourth issue in my perzine series Pieces. This one is on lucid dreaming. I think it’s pretty swank; hopefully others will agree.
If anyone is interested in getting a copy of this issue, let me know by dropping a comment or @replying me on Twitter. I will be happy to oblige. Actually, I need to go to the store tomorrow to get some paper, as I have just run out, so I can make more copies. Already having some people interested! Hee hee.
This issue is a little different from past issues in that it is not a 100% perzine. The first half is mostly information on lucid dreaming and techniques I use, with a few stories on how I’m lucid dreaming to conquer anxiety, what I get out of dreaming, my thoughts on out of body experiences, along with other personal tidbits.
The second half is a dream journal I’ve been keeping to record and analyze my lucid dreaming experiences in an effort to learn more about myself and two internal archetypes.

Tomorrow I’ll be finishing up a design for a freelance project I received. Something simple but functional, pleasing to the eye. I gave myself the weekend to separate from it, so I can tie up the loose ends with a fresh mind. And then it’s off to the client for review. Huzzah!
After that, I may wind up at a cafe writing. I’d like to restart Always Chasing the Child, pretty much trashing what I had to begin with but building on the concepts that were already in the major outline. I enjoy dumping people straight inside the plot rather than building up to it. I just thought of the short story I never finished as well called, “Will.” And then there is that mini zine I wanted to do for Sandy. So many projects, so little time.
I think I will call myself the hummus lady. I made some for Rahsaan because he paid me. If you want delicious hummus and want to pay me for it, let me know. I’d be happy to make you some. It’s delicious and nutritious!
I also made green curry for the first time last night. So simple. I actually just watched this Thai lady and substituted the tofu for chicken, since I don’t like to eat soy if I can possibly help it. It was quite yummy. I’m proud of my curry cooking skills.
So what’s new with you?

I would love some mail from you. But then, I don’t have anything to send yet. T___T And OH YEAH the zine… Heh, we sux at snail mail. xx
