The girl at Molly Bea’s Ingredients.
October 20th, 2009
I stopped at Molly Bea’s Ingredients after work today for a much-needed ingredient adventure. It’s such a fabulous store, filled with delicious candies, loose teas, coffee beans, spices, organic flours, pastas and so much more. It takes awhile to wrap your mind around all they have. I’ve been purchasing ingredients for my baking there a lot lately. Little things to try like buttermilk powder for the next time I make bread.
I was looking for sugar, just plain, white sugar when a girl asked me if I needed any help. All I could think to say was something along the lines was, “What kind of sugar is this?” as I pointed to a not-quite-familiar-looking white sugar.
She explained what it was, kindly, then pointed about how they also had Sugar in the Raw. She told me how she liked to bake with it. Cookies. Soft cookies.
She was very pretty: blond with a beautiful smile. A sweet voice. I got butterflies in my stomach.
When I checked out, she told me how I had pretty hands and if I came back while she was working, to let her know how the sugar worked for me. I smiled, nodded and said something about baking a cake.
I should have asked her out for coffee. Should have asked her name. Should have done and said a million other things… but I didn’t. I can only hope to meet her again at Molly Bea’s after I get off work.
To the girl at Molly Bea’s:
You’re beautiful. I hope the next time I see you, I have enough gumption to ask you for your name.
Yours,
Nichole

Take your time girly!
Although coffee never hurts. Bring a game like Quiddler along. Should spark all sorts of conversations. That or play some improv games!
I just have to find out when she’s working next.
