First Cooking Video – Day 13
February 20th, 2010
Just as I started cooking tonight, the thought of, “Why don’t I make this a video?” struck me, and I quickly acted on it. I need a tripod. I’m not sure whether or not this Indian Curry recipe counts as a thrifty cooking meal. Let me do a little math.
Chicken breasts – $4.47
Coconut milk – $2.39
Tomato paste – $0.50
Lemon – $0.75
Ginger root – $0.45
Yogurt – $0.68
TOTAL – $9.24
Yes, I think it would count. If you’re missing some of the required spices, it may be a little more. But if you get them in bulk at your grocer (look in the produce section!), the price shouldn’t be bad at all.
Besides cooking today, I typed up the roughs of all the content I’m putting in my first zine. It will focus on writing anecdotes from all sections of my life. I find it interesting, so I hope others will find it engaging as well. I need to clean things up in the prose, but that’s to be expected. I don’t think I’ve ever written anything I liked the very first time around.
I didn’t get around to playing Persona 3 like I wanted, but hey… that’s what Sunday’s are for.

So when are you inviting us over for dinner again? LOL
Whenever you guys want to come over! :D
Looks like you had leftovers when you were done, huh? How long does that last you?
Yep. Lots of leftovers. I can get another 3 or for meals out of it. I freeze about half of the curry so I can eat it at a later date, when I’m feeling lazy and don’t want to cook. :D
