Things you learn about your ex-employer – Day 47
March 26th, 2010
I was woken up this morning by a text message rather than the alarm on my phone. It was a friend telling me to get online. Now. I stumbled out of bed, turned on my computer and found my friend on IM. I was immediately sent a link to a newspaper article.
Apparently my former employer has a warrant out for his arrest. What a way to wake up.
Needless to say, today has been pretty crazy. I spent most of it reading a book I didn’t like, then eventually found myself in the library freewriting for a couple hours and taking pictures of the front page of today’s Post-Trib with my cell phone. I’m odd like that. I really don’t care.
My birthday is April 2nd. My ex-employer’s hearing is April 1st.
I went to lunch today and the bar tonight with a mix of past and present coworkers. It’s always wonderful to see them. It sort of makes me wish I had taken notes during my employment these past four years, because everything has culminated into the most beautiful novel climax ever, but I didn’t. I should have. I really wish I could go back in time…
…wait a minute. No I don’t.

Well, no wonder you wanted to quit. You must have had a keen sense that something was just not right.
Have you read “A New Earth” by Eckhart Tolle? If you have, what did you think about it? If you have not, I highly recommend it.
Donna
You may be right about that.
I have not read that book. I will have to put it in my queue of books to read. I will check to see if the library has it!
